Tohunga Station

Tohunga Station is located on Tohunga Road – approximately 2 km west of Ohakune.

The primary function of this property is to grow the prime stock to live-weights determined by the marketplace.  This Station will receive lambs and young cattle from the Breeding Stations.  They are feed on pasture or forage crops, under controlled condition, until they gain sufficient weight to meet market targets.  Other land uses on this property include market gardening, grain production and dairy support.

The future challenges for this Station are to accommodate the expected expansion of AWHI Dairy and possibility other land uses that assist the Incorporation to balance its farming portfolio.
