Role:

* Chris is the inaugural Chief Executive Officer of Atihau Whanganui Inc., appointed on 1 May 2007.
* As CEO, he is responsible for providing overall direction to the day-to-day operations of the Incorporation within the strategic and policy parameters set by the Board.
  • Experience:

    * He has a broad and diversified business experience having worked as a Business Consultant to a range of small to medium sized commercial organisations for 7 years in Wellington immediately prior to his appointment to Atihau Whanganui.
    * From mid 1999 he worked for 12 months for Todd Energy Limited
    * Before then he held various management and governance positions within Shell New Zealand and Shell International both here and abroad for 23 years principally in the exploration and production sector of the oil and gas industry.
    * Currently he holds governance positions on corporate entities for two separate iwi - Whanganui and Nga Rauru.
    * He holds a BCA degree from Victoria University of Wellington and is a member of the Institute of Directors of New Zealand Inc.
